Session in EAIE 2016, Liverpool by Jana Stolarikova from Boğaziçi University

June 19 was a celebrative day within International Office. Colleague Jana Stolarikova (Boğaziçi University) received approval of the proposed session for the 2016 EAIE conference in Liverpool. Proposal was submitted on “Crisis management and international mobility: what to do and how to do it?” This session will take place on Wednesday, Sept 14, 16:00-17:00 at Hall 2F2, Level -1, ACC.

The tendency in international higher education of having good crisis management policies in place seems to become more and more important, with on the one hand increasing international mobility and on the other hand possible growing risks for travelers due to political instability and conflicts. The EAIE session will provide insights on different procedures in crisis management and international mobility. Different approaches to how to embed international crisis management within higher education will be discussed. Also the connection between crisis management and international relations will be debated.

This session and has sought the cooperation with valued partners Boğaziçi University, Istanbul (Turkey), HAAGA-HELIA Ammattikorkeakoulu, Helsinki (Finland), NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences, Breda (the Netherlands) and EP-Nuffic, The Hague (the Netherlands).
